WRPS-Guided River Walk July 2nd 2017
Wilbraham River Protection Society
Guided River Walk on Sunday 2TH July 2017
Dear Friends of Wilbraham River
We will be holding our next river walk on Sunday 2nd July 2017.
The walk will start at Quy Mill Hotel car park and will follow the Quy Water, on public footpaths, to Anglesea Abbey. We will meet at 12.30pm in the car park at Quy Mill and expect that the walk will finish around 3.30 pm at Anglesey Abbey car park. There is a National Trust tea room there and we hope participants may enjoy tea together after the walk.
Please note the following important points if you are considering whether to come
- We expect the walk will take about 2 hours.
- Parking is available at Quy Mill.
- Dogs are welcome on leads.
- The walk will be guided and we ask you to stick to the route at all times.
- You will be walking in open countryside and farmland and not necessarily on marked tracks… some may be boggy. Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing to suit these conditions.
- There may be cattle in the fields that we cross.
- Care is required and dogs and children must be supervised. Committee members will be available to help.
- Please try to keep close to others on the walk.
- Please take care when crossing hazards.
- Please do not feed or touch any cattle on the route.
- Please stay a safe distance from the river at all times.
- The walk is not suitable for buggies, small toddlers or those with restricted mobility.
We are sorry that there seems such a list; however walkers must accept that they come at their own risk
On completion of the walk we will arrange for drivers to be taken back to their cars at Quy Mill if necessary.
It would be helpful to have an idea if your driver will require this transport when you contact us.
If you would like to join us, please contact our Secretary Rebecca Lomas (01223 811189 or bex@drcr.info) as soon as possible but by Monday 26th June. We would be pleased to see you all for what is usually a most enjoyable afternoon.
