The Wilbrahams’ Social Club
Spring 2023
The Social Club is a great place to spend time despite currently the opening hours being restricted and at times unpredictable, owing to lack of bar volunteers. Wednesday and Thursday evenings are well attended by table tennis, bridge club and choir members, and everyone is welcome.
John regularly opens on Friday evenings from 6.30 pm, Cheryl after home football games on Saturdays and often Alex on Saturday evenings. However, they can’t do every week!
The cricket season will be with us soon and Dru or Cheryl will open the club from 1pm. Our team are now in Senior League Division 1. Let’s hope the cricket afternoons will be as busy as last year and with the same beautiful weather. The cricketers and their many supporters can once again sit around the ground with a drink or two watching excellent cricket. and, of course, we will serve delicious cricket teas. The first home game is on May 6th.
The Coffee Mornings are also a great opportunity to get together for a chat, to catch up with friends and to eat cake. Dates for your diary:

Current opening times:
Wednesdays 7.00 pm
Thursdays 8.00 pm
Fridays 6.30 pm
Saturdays:
If Football is at home from 3.30 pm, otherwise 6.00 pm (ish).
If Cricket is at home from 1.00 pm, otherwise 6..oo pm (ish).
The Social Club is a tenant of the Wilbrahams’ Memorial Hall and is a private members club. The Social Club has its own committee to manage its affairs. Everyone from the Wilbrahams is entitled to join and will be made very welcome. The annual membership is £5 and the renewal date is April 1st. Junior members can join at 14. Membership forms are available from the bar.
As always we would welcome new bar staff and new committee members to bring ideas, enthusiasm and help us with the routine management of the club.
