Wilbrahams’ Gardening Club programme

The Wilbrahams’ & Six Mile Bottom Gardening Club

Our new season’s programme gets off to an inspirational start on Monday September 19th when one of our favourite Cambridge garden designers, Andrew Sankey, will be addressing the problem of how to tackle a brand new garden. Whether you have a blank canvass, or maybe just a patch that you would like to revitalise, or an eyesore you want to hide, his expertise will be invaluable. Click here to find out more about him http://www.andrewsankeygardens.co.uk/home

Gardening Club meetings are normally held at 7:30 on the third Monday of the month in The Wilbrahams’ Memorial Hall, apart from July, when the annual Flower and Produce Show takes precedence; August, when we break for summer; and in December when we enjoy Christmas dinner at The Carpenter’s Arms.  A summer visit is very often organised to an interesting garden or specialist plant supplier. This year we went to The Plantsman’s Preference in Norfolk, a specialist grower of pelargoniums, geraniums and ornamental grasses.

New members are always very welcome, whether experienced gardeners or complete beginners – we have all levels of expertise within the club.

Annual membership fee is £15.00. Please contact jackiebeadsmoore@icloud.com if you would like to know more, or simply come along to one of our meetings to see what we are all about.

The programme for the next few months until Christmas is as follows:

19th September Rethinking Your Garden Andrew Sankey
17th October Apples – All you Need to Know Joanna Crosby
