Wilbrahams’ Famers’ Markets

Well, that’s a wrap for us for 2023 and Happy Christmas! 🌲🌲

Mother and daughter shopping in the rain for a Christmas WreathSaturday’s market faced challenging weather, so thanks to all the brilliant food stalls who braved the rainy squalls, and not least to the crowds of shoppers who came in throngs and made for a lovely bustling market, mostly indoors.. We were warmed by free mulled wine from the Well-Brahams well-being group, which went down a treat!Village shoppers indoors at the farmers' market

The markets have raised about £3,500 in 2023 for Memorial Hall funds, which is vital for us now that electricity costs have gone up so much. But more than that, it has been great fun, and always a friendly morning with a chance to catch up with friends and neighbours, whilst shopping sustainably and locally, supporting other small businesses, craft makers and village groups. We are also pleased to have so many visitors from other villages.

We couldn’t do this each month without the stalwart help of Andy, Tony and Dru Goryn, Cheryl Patey, Paul Lambton, Sandra Flores and Shirley Morley, and of course to the stallholders, all who bake for our produce stall and all who come and shop.

So, Thank You all. See you in April 2024!
