Vegetable Flower and Produce Show – Photography Classes
From Chris Fell
The Vegetable Flower and Produce Show is, for me, the highlight of the year for village events. The Photographic Classes which were resurrected last year from an all-time low in 2017, continued to attract a healthy entry this year. There were 85 images entered across 5 classes from 18 photographers. It was good to see some new faces amongst the entrants (and wInners) too.
The subjects for the entrants this year were :
Down on the Farm (Winner – Andrew Evans)
Portrait of a Family Friend (Winner – David Fifer)
Looking Down (Winner – Adrijana Goryn)
Past its Best (Winner – Sue Lambton)
Amateur Sport (Winner – Sue Lambton)
This year there were two new awards. One for the best mobile phone photo (won by Emily Oliver for her shot in the Amateur sports class) and one for the best photo taken in the Wilbrahams (won by Dave Humphrey for his shot of waving corn in the Farm section)
The overall photography championship was shared by Sue Lambton and Andrew Evans
