the Feast – Are You Ready?
It looks like the weather will be glorious on Saturday the 17th June so there is no excuse for all residents of the Wilbrahams and Six Mile Bottom plus families and friends. It’s four years since the Feast was reinstated as a village event and we would love you to come.
There is plenty of shade under the trees so come and relax for a few hours.
For those who don’t know the Feast was an annual village event until 1915 and then it disappeared into the mists of time to be resurrected by the Parish Council in 2019. Traditionally held on the Thursday after Midsomer, the village get together was hosted on the Church green.
This year the Parish Council and the Little Wilbraham Commons Rights Holders are generously supporting the event on the Ken Davison Recreation Ground – off Orchard Close, Little Wilbraham. Starts 12 midday.
- bring the kids the dog and the rest of the family
- bring a picnic
- bring a chair or a rug or both
- bring a hat and some sunscreen
There will be:
- games like tennis, netball, basketball badminton and boules
- races for the kids or adults if you want
- Pickle ball demonstrations
- the opening of the new multi use games court
We will provide:
- free soft drinks
- hot water
- a cash bar for beer and wine so bring some folding stuff or coins
- lots of shade
- and a surprise for kids of all ages
