Temporary notice for URGENT WORKS: A11 TRUNK ROAD (MILL ROAD, GREAT WILBRAHAM CAMBRIDGESHIRE) SOUTHBOUND
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that during a period of 8½ hours starting at 20:30 hours on Monday 19 April 2021, and on any subsequent day for a maximum period of 5 days, the following temporary traffic regulations will be in force on the A11 Trunk Road (“the A11”) in the County of Cambridgeshire, to enable urgent drainage repairs to be carried out in safety.
Highways England Company Limited(a) in exercise of the powers under subsection 2(a) of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes the following temporary notice:
1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter the southbound carriageway of the A11 at the entry slip road leading from Mill Road, Great Wilbraham.
2. Traffic wishing to enter the A11 southbound will be diverted northbound on the A11, merging onto the to the A14 to exit at Junction 37, Exning, then join the A14 westbound to exit at Junction 36, Nine Mile Hill, and join the A11 southbound back to Great Wilbraham and continue their journey.
3. The provisions of this notice shall apply at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs and shall not apply to any vehicle being used in connection with the works or for police, ambulance, fire and rescue authority, traffic officer, or any vehicle being driven in accordance with a direction given by a constable.
