School Fete

‘Great Wilbraham CE Primary School held their summer fete on Saturday. As well as weather that wouldn’t have been out of place on the Mediterranean, there was a tractor to pose on, an ambulance to explore, ponies to ride, a castle to bounce in, wheelbarrows to race, coconuts to dislodge, teachers to drench, gymnastics to watch and many stalls for people to try their luck at. A barbeque as well as drinks, ice cream and cake stalls provided sustenance and refreshment.

All in all, the fete was a success both socially and financially. The PTFA would like to thank the great generosity of those who came along to offer their support. It is the school’s main fundraiser and could not be done without the encouragement of the community both within the school and the village.’
