Road Closure – 20-24th January 2025 – UPDATE
The County Council will be carrying out drainage investigative works on Church Street, Great Wilbraham next week (20th-24th January). The work will require a road closure between 9.30 and 2.30, outside rush hours. Access for residents of Church Street will be maintained.
The school, the nursery and the dental surgery have been made aware.
A yellow ‘road closure’ notice has been up for some weeks. Businesses on Wilbraham Road/Station Road, Fulbourn are aware that HGVs will not be able to travel through Church Street and are asking their hauliers to avoid the area. Diversion signs will be in place at the Mill Road, Great Wilbraham junction and at the Rectory Farm Road, Little Wilbraham junction, so that HGV drivers are warned. These notices will make clear that businesses, school etc, in Great Wilbraham will be open as usual.
Angle End will remain open, for access to houses and to the shop. Please try to avoid passing through Great Wilbraham next week during the road-closure hours and take an alternative route if you possibly can.
The Tuesday No. 18 shopper bus will be allowed through on its way to Newmarket and back again.’
