New Residents on the Common
The Great Wilbraham Common Right Holders have had to recruit a new grazier for the common and we have been most fortunate to findMD Contracting and Farming LTD, run by M
ark Drew and Frances Cook who will run their stock on the Common. Mark put 34 yearling ewes on today 16th May, and we expect some cattle in due course once the grass starts to grow.
Mark runs an Agricultural Contracting company and Frances is Agricultural Director at the College of West Anglia and their business isbased in Rampton. They have several connections with the village: they live close to Michael Beaumont’s daughter and Frances’ father still plays cricket for Over – he still remembers Brian Purkiss from his playing days with Wilbraham.
