Little Wilbraham Multi Use Games Court – Latest News
The physical build of the court has finished the nets are in place and we are just waiting for the court to be painted and marked out for tennis, netball and basketball. This hot weather has meant that the painting has had to wait for some cooler days so our projected opening date is still not finalised. We have been busy however putting together an online booking system that we are now happy with, getting a page ready for the Wilbrahams website, writing some guidelines for use and planning how we can landscape the area, well reshape the desert really.
Thanks to Ian Cumming we have taken a few aerial shots of the Ken Davison Playfield and the new court and it is really sad to see the state of the grass. Great images of a hidden gem.
We are also refurbishing some of the play equipment having replaced the cradle seat on the swing and adding some anti bird fouling measures. We also hope to have the table refurbished in the next few weeks. The next big project is extending the current path to the court to allow residents of all abilities, easy access. This phase is dependent on seeking new funds so if you have any ideas please let us know.
When we have an opening date we will let you know.
