Lighting the Star, 3 December 2022

This Saturday, 3 December 2022, I am holding my annual ‘Lighting the Star’ event. Building on the success of last year we will be doing the same again – but hopefully this time with better weather!

The plan is that at 6.30pm we will serve mulled wine, mince pies and hot chocolate on the village green. Then at 7pm we’ll have a fireworks display before turning on the lights on the big tree. The parish council have generously helped with the mince pies, hot chocolate and a few other things and a generous Great Wilbraham family have provided the red wine for mulling.

Nonetheless, it still costs me quite a lot to put on, so donations towards it all would be much appreciated – there will be a bucket going around.  However, given the cost of living crisis, if money is tight for you then please don’t worry – have a glass of festive cheer, tuck into a mince pie and enjoy the fireworks!

Look forward to seeing lots of you on the green!
