Fugolburna – our river

Our next event, showing the film “Fugolburna” in the Wilbrahams Memorial Hall at 7.30pm on Monday 20th January.

We share a common interest in “our” river with Wilbraham River Protection Society and the showing is jointly sponsored by us and WRPS. We are very grateful to Fulbourn Forum for Community Action who organised the film.

Fugolburna is an ancient name for Fulbourn and means “birds by a stream”. The film follows our river from its source in Fulbourn, and its other source at The Temple Great Wilbraham.

The film includes lots of content relating to the Wilbrahams, and contributions from a number of Wilbraham people, including Alex Wright, Tony Goryn, David Lomas, David White and the late Stewart Wilson.

We hope to see you there!
