Cricket Season is here

The cricket season is underway and off to a good start. After a rust-busting friendly loss the week before, on 6th May Wilbraham managed to chase down a creditable 204 for 9 set by Madingley in our first league match of the season. This was for the loss of only 3 wickets. Top scorers were

Toby Tippen 76,

Ian Crocombe 66 not out.

Sadly the 2nd XI was pulled from the Cambridgeshire Cricket Association leagues because of a lack of players. It is hoped that some friendly fixtures will be organised in the second half of the season if there is enough support. Roddy Tippen said “Unbelievably the Sports Club Chairman survived his own vote of no confidence”.
