Save the Date –  SEPTEMBER 12th 10am-12.30pm

Having cancelled the Autumn Food & Craft Fair, we are trialling an outdoor farmer’s market instead on the 2nd Sat of the month, whilst the weather is good. We can space out on the carpark and rec as much as we need to and maintain social distancing. Please come and shop, chat to friends and support local producers and our community. If it is a success, we can make go of it through the autumn. See the stall list for details.

If you are able to share any vegetable or fruit glut from your garden, please bring it along to the Wilbrahams’ Produce stall, pre- bagged up to sell for £1 per bag. All donations much appreciated – proceeds will go to the Hall funds, which need a boost after no bookings or fundraising events for 6 months..

Ian Wilson has agreed to make himself available for a postmortem evening on Tuesday September 22 when he will go through all of the images and explain how and why he reached the conclusion that he did and he will offer some advice on how to improve your photography.

We will be running a Wilbraham Produce Stall as usual, so would welcome any baking or produce contributions to raise money for Memorial Hall funds. Please just bring them along on the morning, or email mail@emma-adams.co.uk

Following on from the virtual farm walk, as part of the “Know your neighbour” series during lockdown, Chris will be doing a walk and talk in person on Wednesday 30th June, starting from Home Farm at 6:15pm.

It would be lovely to see lots of the village people in person, obviously within government guidelines.

As it is unclear how the lay of the land will be regarding Covid restrictions by mid-July and whether the Memorial Hall will be in use, we are planning to run the Show on similar lines to last year’s Doorstep Show but to hold it on the Rec…weather permitting! The idea being that you would set up your display on a table on the Rec rather than on your Doorstep. Having the tables all in one place would enable everyone to get together, look around all the displays more easily and continue the tradition of this fun and social event for the Villages….and give us all something to look forward to!! (There will be a limited number of Hall tables available for use and help will be on hand for anyone needing their items transported from home to the Rec and back.)
We hope to be able to serve the traditional ‘Tea/coffee and cakes’ outdoors but this will depend, of course on Government guidelines at the time.
Full details of the Show and Classes will be printed in the Summer edition of the Warbler (early June) and a flyer delivered to your door.
