Advanced Warning Of Road Closure

FROM 17th March to 13th June inclusive, Church Lane and Station Road, Fulbourn will be partially closed to traffic. Only pedestrians and walking cyclists will be allowed through.

During this time Cadent Gas will be renewing the gas main across the closed area. The area includes a level crossing and Network Rail has specified a complete closure for safety reasons.

This  closure will mean a significant diversion for vehicles . Residents of Station Road and  Church Lane will not be able to pass over the level crossing in a vehicle and those in the Wilbrahams and beyond will only be able to go as far as the Fielding estate and businesses close by. Again, cycles and pedestrians will have unhindered access.

Cadent have agreed to hold an information drop-in session for residents to see diagrams of the work, ask detailed questions and receive information. This will take place at The Swifts Centre, Haggis Gap, Fulbourn, CB21 5HD, on Tuesday 11th March between 3.00 and 7.00pm.  The session will be open to residents of Fulbourn, Wilbrahams, Teversham and adjacent villages.

There will also be information provided at the Great Wilbraham parish council meeting on 11th March, from 7.30pm and at the Little Wilbraham/Six Mile Bottom parish council on 13th March from 7.30pm. Both meetings will take place in the Wilbrahams Memorial Hall, Great Wilbraham.

Please note: this is a three-month closure, not a one-month closure as stated in The Warbler, apologies for that.
