Acting to improve the Environment here in the Wilbrahams

Image of the group of planters with their toolsOn Saturday a group of us planted five substantial Oak trees around Great Wilbraham. The trees are already more than 3.5 metres tall and were grown in the UK.

A newly planted oak saplingOn your walks you can see two of them at the junction of Butt Lane and Street Way, another 150 metres or so down Street Way just in the field on the left hand side and another towards the far end of Butt Lane, planted on GW Parish Council land.

Thankyou Paul, Roger, Chris, Tony, Richard, David, Cathy, James – and most of all Wren who, because of his youth, is the most likely to see the trees grow to early maturity!
