20mph Limit
GOOD NEWS – the 20 MPH limit is finally happening.
We have just heard that the new 20 mph speed limit will go live in the week beginning 3rd March when Highways will be completing the signage throughout Great Wilbraham.
This will vastly improve safety for everyone – especially our very small pedestrians.
The many years of hard work and campaigning by residents have finally paid off. Thanks to everyone who helped.
Especial thanks are due to David Richer and members of the village Transport Working Group for their leadership, organisation and commitment.
Thanks also to the County Council for providing funding and to Councillor Claire Daunton who has kept the Great Wilbraham initiative on track.
Finally -please now do your bit by observing the limit which will encourage vehicles around you to do the same.
